Refund Policy

Last updated: 19 August 2026

SOAP2 Regular and Premium licenses are sold as auto-renewing subscriptions (monthly or annual) through Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles the actual billing and refund mechanics on our behalf; this page describes the policy we ask Paddle to apply. See also Paddle's Buyer Terms for their own standard terms.

Refund eligibility

We don't offer a discretionary money-back guarantee. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis — for example, a billing error, a duplicate charge, or a genuine technical issue that prevented you from using SOAP2 — by contacting [email protected]. This is in addition to, and does not limit, any statutory right of withdrawal or refund you may have under the consumer-protection law of your own country of residence, which Paddle applies as part of its own checkout and buyer terms.

For an annual subscription specifically, if we do approve a refund for a cancellation made partway through the year, it's prorated by full unused quarters remaining (quartered, not by exact day): cancel in the 1st quarter and 3/4 of the annual price is refunded, in the 2nd quarter 1/2, in the 3rd quarter 1/4, and in the 4th quarter nothing. This is still case-by-case, not automatic — see above.

Subscription renewals

Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand. If a renewal charge was made in error (for example, after you'd already cancelled), contact us and we'll investigate.

Cancelling

You can cancel a subscription at any time, in either of two ways:

When you cancel, you may be asked why (for example, too expensive, too advanced, or too complex) — it's optional, and it helps us improve SOAP2.

Cancelling stops future renewals — it does not end your current billing period early. Your license stays active and SOAP2 keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for; it simply won't renew after that. Cancelling does not itself trigger a refund for the period already paid — see "Refund eligibility" above.

This works the same way regardless of billing interval, but it's worth spelling out for annual plans specifically: if you cancel an annual subscription partway through, for example in month 3 of 12, SOAP2 keeps working through month 12, then stops renewing — the remaining months already paid for aren't refunded automatically (see the quarterly proration note under "Refund eligibility" above for what happens if a refund is approved).

Billing errors and duplicate charges

If you believe you were charged in error, charged twice, or charged the wrong amount, contact [email protected] and we'll work with Paddle to correct it.

Chargebacks

If you dispute a charge with your bank or card provider instead of contacting us first, your SOAP2 license is deactivated automatically once Paddle notifies us of the dispute — for either a monthly or annual subscription. We'd rather sort it out directly: email [email protected] before filing a chargeback and we'll resolve it faster, without interrupting your license.

WhiteLabel

WhiteLabel licenses are arranged directly between the group holder and the SOAP2 author rather than through self-serve checkout; refund terms for those are agreed individually as part of that arrangement.
